How we scored it
Botanical fruit extract: all mass is plant-derived (n = 1). Extraction solvent leaves no counted mass. Natural mass 100% of total, NOI = 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is the dried fruit of the Apiaceae plant named Visnaga vera, extracted with water, ethanol or a glycol/glycerin mixture and concentrated. No synthetic route exists; carriers such as glycols, if used, are declared separately on the label.
In plain English
An extract of the fruit of Visnaga vera, a carrot-family plant understood to be khella (Ammi visnaga), used for skin conditioning. The fruit is extracted with a solvent and concentrated, so it comes wholly from the plant.
CosIng definition: Visnaga Vera Fruit Extract is the extract of the fruit of the Visnaga vera, Apiaceae
