How we scored it
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is dried vervain flower and leaf, extracted with water, ethanol or a glycol/glycerin mixture and concentrated. No synthetic route exists; carriers such as glycols, if used, are declared separately on the label.
In plain English
An extract of the flowers and leaves of common vervain (Verbena officinalis), used for scent and skin conditioning. The plant parts are extracted with a solvent and concentrated, so it comes wholly from the plant.
CosIng definition: Verbena Officinalis Flower/Leaf Extract is the extract of the flowers and leaves of the Verbena, Verbena officinalis L., Verbenaceae
