How we scored it
Hydrosol: condensed steam water (n = 1) plus trace fruit volatiles (n = 1); nothing petrochemical. Natural mass 100% of total, NOI = 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is cranberry fruit, steam-distilled with the aqueous condensate collected as the product. No synthetic route exists; a preservative, if added, is declared separately.
In plain English
The water that condenses when cranberry (Vaccinium oxycoccos) fruit is steam distilled, carrying traces of the fruit's volatile compounds. It is mostly water and is used as a skin-conditioning ingredient.
CosIng definition: Vaccinium Oxycoccos Fruit Water is an aqueous solution of the steam distillate obtained from the fruit of Vaccinium oxycoccos, Ericaceae.
