How we scored it
Whole-plant extract; botanical extracts are 1.0 by convention regardless of the marker-compound formula supplied.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Extracted from the Tribulus terrestris (puncture vine) plant using conventional solvent extraction. No alternative synthetic route exists.
In plain English
A plant extract from Tribulus terrestris, used to condition skin. Made by extracting the plant with a solvent; no synthetic processing involved.
CosIng definition: Tribulus Terrestris Extract is an extract of the Small Caltrop, Tribulus terrestris L., Zygophyllaceae
