How we scored it
Wheat amino acids (hydrolysate, natural) N-acylated with lauric acid (C12 oleochemical, natural), sodium salt (mineral, natural). All fragments natural.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Made by acylating hydrolyzed wheat protein amino acids with coconut-derived lauric acid, then neutralizing with sodium hydroxide. Both the protein and fatty acid feedstocks are plant/oleochemical.
In plain English
A mild, natural-origin cleansing and conditioning ingredient made by combining amino acids from hydrolyzed wheat protein with coconut-derived lauric acid, then neutralizing with sodium. Found in gentle shampoos and cleansers.
CosIng definition: Amino acids, wheat, N-(1-oxododecyl) derivs., sodium salts
