How we scored it
Oat amino acids (hydrolysed protein) + coconut acyl (C8-C18) + sodium; acyl chloride reagent leaves as NaCl. All retained atoms natural: 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant route is acylation of oat protein hydrolysate with coconut fatty acid chloride (Schotten-Baumann) followed by sodium neutralisation. Enzymatic or ester-based acylation is a minor alternative with the same atoms.
In plain English
A plant-derived cleansing surfactant made by attaching coconut fatty acids to amino acids from hydrolysed oat protein. It foams, lifts oil and dirt, and conditions hair and skin in cleansers and shampoos.
CosIng definition: Aminoacids, oat, N-coco acyl derivs., sodium salts
