How we scored it
Botanical seed fat, this site's convention = 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Pressed from the seeds (nuts) of the Shorea stenoptera tree, also known as illipe or Borneo tallow. The fat is used largely as obtained, sometimes refined.
In plain English
A rich, cocoa-butter-like fat pressed from illipe nuts, used to soften and moisturise skin in balms, lotions and lip products.
