How we scored it
Whole botanical fruit extract; this site's convention assigns extracts NOI 1.0 (no single molecule to decompose).
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Extracted from apricot (Prunus armeniaca) fruit by solvent or aqueous extraction. No alternative synthetic route exists for a botanical extract.
In plain English
A soothing extract from apricot fruit, used to condition skin. It's made by extracting compounds directly from the fruit flesh, so it comes straight from the plant with no synthetic processing.
CosIng definition: Prunus Armeniaca Fruit Extract is an extract of the fruits of the Apricot, Prunus armeniaca L., Rosaceae
