How we scored it
Coco fatty acyl (coconut) joined to hydrolyzed collagen (animal protein) via acid-chloride acylation (Cl leaves, no mass); K salt — all natural → 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Animal collagen is hydrolysed to peptides, acylated with coconut fatty acid chloride (chlorine leaves as HCl), and neutralised with potassium hydroxide. No petrochemical route is used.
In plain English
A mild surfactant made from coconut oil fatty acids joined to collagen peptides from animal sources. Used in shampoos and cleansers to clean gently while conditioning hair and skin.
CosIng definition: Potassium salt of the condensation product of coconut acid chloride and hydrolyzed collagen
