How we scored it
Where it comes from
Made by base-catalysed self-condensation of vegetable glycerin to diglycerin, then esterified with oleochemical isostearic acid. Both etherification and isomerisation steps release only water, adding no petrochemical mass.
In plain English
An emulsifier made from plant-derived glycerin, linked into a short chain, combined with a branched fatty acid from vegetable oil. Helps blend oil and water in creams.
