How we scored it
A mixture of palm-oil mono-, di- and triglycerides made by glycerolysis of palm oil with vegetable glycerin; every atom of the glycerides comes from palm oil and glycerin, so natural mass/total mass = 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Palm oil reacted with vegetable glycerin (glycerolysis).
In plain English
An emollient and emulsifier made from palm oil, a mix of its natural glycerides. It softens skin and helps oil and water stay mixed in creams.
