How we scored it
Whole leaf extract; botanical extracts score 1.0 by convention.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
The feedstock is the leaves of Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), water- or solvent-extracted. No alternative synthetic route exists.
In plain English
An extract of Japanese honeysuckle leaves, used to condition skin.
CosIng definition: Lonicera Japonica Leaf Extract is an extract of the leaves of the Japanese Caprofilia (honeysuckle), Lonicera japonica, Caprifoliaceae
