How we scored it
Fish oil (animal-derived, natural) fully hydrogenated; H2 leaves no mass in the triglyceride product → 1.00.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Made by fully hydrogenating fish oil recovered from fish processing (typically a by-product of the fish-meal/fish-oil industry) to raise its stability and melting point. No alternative petrochemical route is used.
In plain English
An emollient made by fully hydrogenating fish oil to make it more stable and solid. Used in skincare to soften and condition skin.
