How we scored it
Peptide from Ala, Arg, Met residues; condensation water lost only, amino-acid mass retained → 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Hexapeptide-6 is synthesised by joining alanine, arginine and methionine, fermentation/hydrolysate amino acids, via solid-phase peptide synthesis. No petrochemical production route is used.
In plain English
A small lab-assembled chain of three natural amino acids used as a skin-conditioning ingredient. The amino acids come from fermentation and are simply linked together.
CosIng definition: Hexapeptide-6 is a synthetic peptide containing Alanine, Arginine and Methionine residues
