How we scored it
Sunflower petal extract: every constituent is a plant metabolite, and the extraction solvent leaves no mass. Natural mass fraction 1/1 = 1.00.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is sunflower (Helianthus annuus) petals, extracted with water, ethanol or a cosmetic glycol. No synthetic route exists.
In plain English
A multi-purpose plant extract listed for cleansing, moisturising, hair conditioning and fragrance. It is made from sunflower petals, extracted in a solvent.
