How we scored it
Hydroxyproline (collagen-hydrolysate amino acid, natural) di-esterified with 2x palmitic acid (oleochemical, natural); both fragments natural → 1.0
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Hydroxyproline obtained from protein hydrolysis is esterified with palmitic acid derived from vegetable oil. No petrochemical route is used.
In plain English
A skin- and hair-conditioning ingredient combining an amino acid from hydrolysed protein with a plant-oil fatty acid. Both building blocks are natural, joined together during manufacture.
Structure
(2S,4R)-1-hexadecanoyl-4-hexadecanoyloxypyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid
