How we scored it
Whole milled leaf (n = 1): fibre, chlorophyll, terpenoids and phenolics all plant-derived; no synthetic fragment. 1.0 / 1.0 = 1.00.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is turmeric leaf, a by-product of the rhizome crop, cleaned, dried and ground. No commercially significant synthetic route exists.
In plain English
Dried, finely ground turmeric leaves, used to condition skin. It is simply the milled leaf of the turmeric plant, so everything in it is unchanged plant material.
CosIng definition: Curcuma Longa Leaf Powder is the powder obtained from the dried, ground leaves of the Tumeric, Curcuma longa L., Zingiberaceae
