How we scored it
Botanical fruit extract; this site's convention rates plant extracts 1.0 regardless of extraction method or solvent.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Produced by pressing or solvent-extracting the fruit of Citrus junos (yuzu). The fruit itself supplies essentially all of the extract's mass.
In plain English
A citrus extract pressed from yuzu fruit, containing natural vitamin C and antioxidants. Used as a skin-conditioning ingredient in creams and serums.
CosIng definition: Citrus Junos Fruit Extract is an extract of the fruits of Citrus junos, Rutaceae
