How we scored it
Essential oil: limonene, linalyl acetate, linalool and other constituents of bergamot peel, all natural origin (b). 1.0 / 1.0 = 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Cold-pressed (or occasionally distilled) from the peel of bergamot fruit, grown mainly in Calabria, southern Italy. Reconstituted or synthetic bergamot fragrances are not covered by this INCI entry.
