How we scored it
Whole bark extract; botanical extracts score 1.0 by convention.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
The feedstock is the bark of Cinchona calisaya, water- or solvent-extracted. No alternative synthetic route exists.
In plain English
An extract of cinchona tree bark, used to condition skin.
CosIng definition: Cinchona Calisaya Bark extract is the extract obtained from the bark of Cinchona calisaya, Rubiaceae
