How we scored it
Plant material (flowers): whole plant matter, all plant-derived (n = 1), no added synthetic groups. Natural mass / total mass = 1.00.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is cultivated German chamomile flower heads from Egypt, Argentina and Eastern Europe, usually dried. No synthetic route exists.
In plain English
The flower heads of German chamomile (Chamomilla recutita), usually dried, used in skin-care products as a skin-conditioning ingredient. It is plant material rather than a chemical, taken from the cultivated flower.
