How we scored it
Dried, ground flowers: whole plant material, all plant-derived (n = 1), no added synthetic groups. Natural mass / total mass = 1.00.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Dominant feedstock is cultivated German chamomile flower heads from Egypt, Argentina and Eastern Europe, dried and milled to a powder. No synthetic route exists for the powder.
In plain English
A fine powder made by drying and grinding the flower heads of German chamomile (Chamomilla recutita). It is used in skin-care products as a skin-conditioning ingredient. It comes straight from the cultivated plant with no chemical change beyond drying and milling.
CosIng definition: Chamomilla Recutita Flower Powder is the powder obtained from the dried, ground flowers of Chamomilla recutita (L.), Asteraceae
