How we scored it
Botanical leaf extract; only natural fragments present, no synthetic input.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Extracted from the leaves of the tamanu tree (Calophyllum inophyllum) using water or hydro-alcoholic solvents. No synthetic alternative route exists for a botanical extract.
In plain English
A leaf extract from the tamanu tree, used to help skin retain moisture and feel conditioned. It is made by extracting plant compounds from the leaves, with nothing added from petroleum.
