How we scored it
Glass of mineral oxides CaO + Al2O3 + B2O3 + SiO2, all mineral-origin => 1.0 regardless of high-temperature fusion processing
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate is manufactured by melting calcium, aluminium, borate and silica mineral raw materials together into a glass. There is no alternative route; it is always a fused mineral product.
In plain English
A finely milled glass used as a bulking agent and shimmer base in powders and makeup. It's made by melting together mineral raw materials: calcium, aluminum, boron and silica sources.
CosIng definition: Calcium Aluminium Borosilicate is a glass consisting essentially of calcium and aluminium borosilicates
