How we scored it
Wood extract of rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora): all atoms come from plant material, with no added non-natural fragment. 1.0 / 1.0 = 1.0.
What counts. ISO 16128-2 scores the atoms that remain in the final ingredient. Reagents, solvents, catalysts and protecting groups used during manufacture leave no mass behind and are not counted.
Where it comes from
Wood of Aniba rosaeodora, an Amazonian tree, is extracted or steam-distilled to give a fragrant material rich in linalool. Synthetic linalool is used as a cheaper substitute in perfumery, but that is a separate ingredient, not this extract.
In plain English
A fragrance extract obtained from the wood of the rosewood tree, Aniba rosaeodora, which grows in the Amazon region. It is used in products for fragrance and perfuming.
CosIng definition: Aniba Rosaeodora Wood Extract is an extract obtained from the Rosewood, Aniba rosaeodora, Lauraceae
